About Michelle Mansur
My passion for teaching yoga, strength training, breathwork, and whole-person wellness comes from lived experience.
After surviving a ruptured arteriovenous malformation (AVM) and stroke, I faced the challenge of rebuilding not only my physical strength, but also my confidence, balance, focus, and connection to my body. Recovery taught me that healing is about far more than simply regaining function—it is about reclaiming your life.

Years later, I found myself navigating another set of challenges: midlife, menopause, and the emotional trauma of divorce. Once again, I turned to movement as a source of healing, resilience, and empowerment.
Through my own journey, I discovered what research continues to confirm: movement has a profound impact on the brain, cognition, and mental health.
Yoga combines movement, breathwork, and mindfulness to help regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and improve emotional well-being. Regular practice can support focus, memory, sleep quality, and emotional resilience while helping the body shift from a state of chronic stress into one of restoration and healing.
Strength training offers benefits that extend far beyond building muscle. Resistance exercise increases blood flow to the brain, supports neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to adapt and create new neural pathways—and helps improve cognitive function, mood, confidence, and overall mental wellness. It can be a powerful tool for maintaining brain health while building physical strength and independence.
For me, yoga taught me how to reconnect with my body when it felt unfamiliar. Breathwork helped calm my nervous system during periods of stress and uncertainty. Strength training reminded me that I was capable, resilient, and stronger than I realized. Together, these practices became a foundation for healing through stroke recovery, menopause, life transitions, and personal loss.
Why work with me?
Because I care about your well-being!
Today, I share these tools with others because I know firsthand the transformative power of movement. Whether you are recovering from a health challenge, navigating menopause, managing stress, rebuilding after a difficult life event, or simply seeking greater vitality, movement can help strengthen both the body and the mind.
At Stillriver Whole Wellness, my mission is to help people cultivate strength, resilience, and confidence from the inside out. I don’t teach from theory alone—I teach from experience. I understand what it means to rebuild, to adapt, and to move forward.
Strong bodies support strong minds. Strong minds create resilient lives.
Through movement, breath, and mindful strength, healing becomes possible, growth becomes sustainable, and thriving becomes attainable. 💙
